Zhu Guangxing

Bio

Guangxing Zhu is an assistant professor of criminal law at the School of Criminal Justice at China University of Political Science and Law. She holds an LL.B degree (Northwest University of Politics and Law, China) and a Master’s degree in Criminal Law (China University of Political Science and Law). In July 2018, she obtained her Ph.D. in Criminal Law at Tilburg University (the Netherlands), where she was a researcher at the International Victimology Institute Tilburg (Intervict). Her Ph.D. thesis is a multidisciplinary study of age of consent in Europe and China.


Her research interests include Chinese Criminal Law, Comparative Criminal Law, Criminology, Legal Sociology, Sexual Offence, Gender-based Legal Issue, Vulnerable Victims and Children Rights within the criminal trial. She has gained a lot of research experience in the field of child sexual offence, gender-based legal issues and comparative criminal law. She is serving as reviewer of two SSCI Journals: Law Crime and Social Change, and Child Indicators Research. Her works have been published by European Journal on Criminal Policy and Research, International Journal of Law, Crime and Justice, New Journal of European Criminal Law and International Victimology Review, etc. During her Ph.D. study, she was also a columnist for a Chinese legal newspaper called Legalweekly.
